What can be the maximum sludge consistency considered for primary clarifier design.

Theprimary function of Primary clarifier is to remove non bio degradable waste such as grit etc,however some of biodegradable heavier substance will also escape.Inlarge all biodegradable  substance shall be subject to treatment in Biological units only.Primary clarifier is not designed for Biological treatment

For primary clarifier design, about 10% of maximum sludge consistency can be considered.
