My very first assignment was for the UNDP National Inland Wetland Study, data interpretation as a Technical Assistant in 2001.
Finally they have increased the stipend / fellowship as per the prevalent standards, for a long time it was Rs 5000/-, My Second stint at SACON was at Bharatpur, where Anjan and me and another researcher were a multi-disciplinary team working at Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The two most wonderful years of my life, we used to cycle 20 - 30 km every day in the park and our field assistants from the famous village (Jatoli) were old salts who knew far more about wetland birds than any city bred naturalist

I wonder if this assignment is also for Bharatpur.

That's great Amlan. I received this mail and thought some of the youngsters in IEN may be interested.

Cheers
