Role of Software Application for Environmental Industry

Greetings!! As we all know, software applications have been developed for most business sectors and other industries but not so much for our environmental industry. We do have typical modeling software applications developed but solutions are not many for redundant inspections, data management, reporting, reminders etc.

I have developed a data management and reminder software application (web based) and wanted to get input from actual professionals in the industry as for as need of such applications. Utilization & benefit of such applications.

My background: I am B.E. Civil, M.E. Town Planning, M.S. Environmental Engineering. Currently working in US as Civil/Environmental engineer for last 11 years. Registered Professional Engineer in U.S. My experience includes multi-media (air, waste water, storm water) permitting & compliance, solid waste landfill designs, septic tank & subsurface drip field designs, storm water network designs, and environmental application development.
