This paper is a good reference paper giving details about lack of standards for food safety rather very poor infrastructure for estimating effects of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides on food stuff grown.organic farming is welcome but can it manage food for teeming millions.I know fertilizers are harmless though has environmental degradations problems but prudent use and crop rotation can minimize its impact.pesticide use and use of better pesticides may be some help.we can make an effort for organic farming but till all solutions are found it may be a far cry.Farmers are to be educated and sensitized.

I have found in U S A where organic fruits and vegetables are available are 25 to 30% costlier and users are not much.Dr b n das

I am aware its strength and weakness, yet shared it being useful. It should not be costlier. I consume organic rice, pulses, spices etc., at same rate here.

Informative attachment!  Organic farming is the only way to get rid of the hazardous pesticides.  Biomagnification of these substances in living body cause cancer and other fatal diseases and disorders.
