One Day Conference on "Water Audit for Today and Tomorrow"

Dear All,

Now, we are all aware of a serious water crisis that the Maharashtra is undergoing this year. We are afraid the situation might become serious or worse than this year and year after year. The global warming, population explosion, infrastructure development, urbanization and traditional cropping pattern are certainly the cause of water crisis.

 

The measures being undertaken by government and supplemented by NGOs and other voluntaries organizations are providing some reliefs. Certain government officers like Collectors, Municipal Commissioners have done exemplary work. However, all possible efforts and technological solutions are not in place on the water issues. We have been wasting and misusing lot of water when it is available. The appropriate methods for conservation, exploration and monitoring are not in operation to the required extent. The water sensitivity is required to be created for its optimum uses in all sectors including industry and agriculture sensitization in public on water use is also required.

SOCLEEN, the Society for Clean Environment is an NGO engaged in bringing environmental awareness and providing technology on infrastructure development and resource management since last 70 years. The society, through its members of highest ranking scientist is constantly providing technologies for better environment. We thought that it is an appropriate time to review all the strategies, insist for appropriate technologies and evolve strong mechanism for Water Audit.

 

In this context, we, in association with Trans Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BMC, MPCB and MMRDA are organizing one day conference on WATER AUDIT FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW, to be held on 23 June, 2016, between 9:30am to 5:30pm at Swatantraveer Sawarkar Auditorium, Dadar West, Mumbai. You are requested to participate in this conference and if possible present your views and efforts made on water conservation and suggestion for water audit.
