Dear Mr. Auaiser,

This Query is very new one.

As per my view may be permission is required from regulatory authority for Offshore Platform decommissioning & Hazardous and Solid waste Management rules are applicable for disposal.

Please treat it as my personal Opinion.

Dear Mr. Gandham,

Thanks for your reply.

off course it will be dispose off as per the regulatory body but things is that in India, earlier no offshore decommissioning activities were carried out and what all applicable rules will fall under not mention any where as per my knowledge.

The big task is that, All potential waste sources resulting from decommissioning activities to be identified, categorized and managed with due regards to occupational health and safety, public health and safety and the environment and accordingly how it has to be dispose off safely to onshore facility, so no such guidelines available for Indian law.

Anyhow i am working on this and if you would find any things kindly pass on.

Best Regards,

Quaiser

Dear Mr. Quaiser

You may also have to refer the application of Coastal Regulation Zone act. Incase I am wrong, just correct me too.

Uploaded the CRZ file for reference. Just see if it is useful.

Dear Dr. Maniprakash,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually the main purpose of the CRZ- Notification is that : To require environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India for undertaking any Exploration and extraction of oil and natural gas and all associated activities and facilities thereto within CRZ area and Any handling or storage or disposal of hazardous substances to be notified to CRZ authorities but how it has to be dispose off safely to onshore is not reflected.
