why there is a general lack of public awareness about environmental issues?

Are the public misleaded by showcausing some irrevalentproblem rather than main issues or something else.

we feel that most of all the environmental consultantcies are working for a noble cause of creating sustainable develepment of the society, but all of us know and have been thought right from child hood that we need to develop we need to sacrifice something elst, but thiscannot happen with political influence.

More over the development should not be at the costof the environmental degradatation.

ONE REASON...VESTED INTEREST DUE TO GREED

Sustainable development can happen only with a people's participation movement.

I agree with you .. it probably is not lack of awareness ......the general attitude of public at large seems that the environmental issue is Government's responsibility since the decision making, funding are with it...influencing young minds from school levels may have good results in the long run..... i find people in responsible positions (EHS) in corporate's care less on environmental issues taking shelter that there is no ROI on this issue...

Cheers
Becoz nobody took it serious to create awareness about the depleting natural resources and it's effect on human life
