I am happy to read your frank concern about EIAs.

 

I note with interest that your group has undertaken some Carrying capacity studies as well, can you please send me a copy ?. We are seriously looking for a  good report, as we are interested in getting such a report for our area(West Coast of Karnataka, my address is simple, Dr. Ashok Kundapur, Udupi 576 102, Email: arkundapur at yahoo dot com. )

 

I have evaluated a couple of such EIAs and this is my firm opinion. By and large EIAs are of the Company, by the Company and for the company, who so ever 'fabricates' it, with hardly any concern for the Environment, needless to state. At least 50% of EIA I have scanned were basically bad examples of cut and paste, doing harm than good to environment.
